Mercedes-Benz EQG begins shedding camo
The latest shots of the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQG reveal the off-roader running around in lighter camo than ever before. You might think it is a stock G-Class, but take a closer look and you will realize it is an electric vehicle.
More specifically, the spy shots depict two examples – one completely disguised and one partly free from the wrap. This lets you see that the front end lacks any air intakes or other design traits typical of ICE cars. There are no tailpipes at the back, either. A closer look reveals the control arms and what looks like a power-assisted steering pinion.
There are also guard plates at both ends and something like a front differential. Another differential can be seen in the back along with a large sway bar.
The part-naked prototype also has a different radiator grille, but it is cladded. The bumpers are likewise slightly different, and there are no air vents in the rear fenders. Could it be an entry-level modification of the EQG of some kind? Or are these details just fakes to mislead us? We honestly wouldn’t know. Better wait until more data becomes available.
