A trio of Tigers lands in Europe
When it introduced a new vehicle brand named “Tiger” in Italy this spring, DR Automobiles said it would represent localized Forthing EVs from China. The company has now unveiled the first three Tiger models – curiously enough, none of them is a rebadged Forthing.
The three vehicles are already available to buy in Europe. The Tiger Six is the most affordable of them with a starting price of €30,900. It is based on the BAIC X55 platform. The Tiger Eight ramps up the premium features with BAIC X75 underpinnings and a €34,900 minimum price. Both come with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine under the hood delivering around 177 PS (175 hp / 130 kW) to the wheels through a dual-clutch transmission.
The third novelty for the Italian market is a 5.2-meter (203-inch) long van called the Tiger Nine. It hasn’t properly debuted yet – neither in specs nor in photos.
