Geely Galaxy E5 gets Proton badging in Malaysia

The all-electric crossover Proton e.MAS 7 set to debut in Malaysia at the end of this month is essentially a rebadged Galaxy E5 from Geely, with a few exceptions.

Compared to the original, the localized car features its own front fascia design, rides on new suspension and has the steering wheel on the right-hand side. Proton doesn’t say anything about the powertrain, so we assume that it stays the same. This means a single 218-PS (215-hp / 160-kW) electric motor driving the front axle.
