Spy shots reveal insides of Geely’s next hatchback EV
The provisionally named Geely Geome (Geometry) Xingyuan is still running pre-production tests, but various images of the subcompact battery hatchback have already leaked online. Autohome.cn believes that it may go on sale before the end of August.
It’s still unknown what name the EV will get when it reaches production. CarNewsChina quotes local media saying it could be “Paipai” or “Totoro”. You can see for yourself what it looks like in the gallery below, but for now, let’s focus on the interior shots published this weekend.
Judging by the two photos, the interior features a two-tone trim, a dual-spoke steering wheel with a transmission selector on the column, a fairly large digital dashboard for its class, and a standalone multimedia display with climate vents below. There are five seats in total.
The patent filings mention that the car is 4,135 x 1,805 x 1,570 mm large with 2,650 mm between the axles. That corresponds to 161.5 x 70.5 x 61.3 inches with 103.5 inches of wheelbase. Unless something changes, it is scheduled to go on sale with e-motors rated at 79 and 116 PS (78 and 114 hp; 58 and 85 kW, respectively). Customers will be choosing from two battery sizes – 30.12 and 40.16 kilowatt-hours, CLTC-rated for 310 and 410 km (192 and 255 miles) of range.
Prices are expected to start from 80,000 CNY.
