The ultimate Dodge Challenger crops up in yet another teaser vid
The Leprechaun keeps coming back in Dodge commercials dedicated to the most powerful Challenger in history, the Last Call farewell edition.
The prevailing theory seems to be that the number demonstrated in the video refers to the maximum boost pressure supported by the new engine. Then again, we cannot claim anything for sure until the official reveal. We should learn the truth soon enough, since the final vid is set for release on March 17 and the car itself will hit the spotlight on March 20.
This time around, the footage shows a pile of golden balls that the Leprechaun crushes with a sledgehammer. The hammer runs on an eight-cylinder engine and has ‘2538 psi’ showing on an electronic display.
Dodge says that the video is meant to give us a hint as to how good the newcomer is at destroying drag strips and freeing up and utilizing overwhelming amounts of power.
Earlier guesses made by the fans based on the previous Last Call videos included quarter-mile time (8.9996 seconds) and top speed (215 mph / 346 km/h). As for the golden balls in the latest episode, they could symbolize a special kind of fuel (a gold-colored liquid was spotted in the first video as well).
