Land Rover Defender 6x6 gets prepped for the End Times
Florida-based off-roader specialist Apocalypse Manufacturing has produced a particularly badass tri-axle Defender for a local customer. Known as the World Ender, it looks like it might just survive a nuclear war.
In the tuner’s typical fashion, the car was retrofitted with a brutal body kit featuring all-new off-road bumpers, skid plates and an orange bull bar with a matching cage above the truck bed. 20-inch, military-style wheels slotted into the arches along with 38-inch tires, and the suspension was redesigned with air cushions to allow for height adjustment in a 200mm (8-inch) range.
The Def’s usual 5.0-liter V8 supercharged to 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW) and 625 Nm (461 lb-ft) of torque continued its work under the hood without any modifications. Even so, Apocalypse Manufacturing prides itself on building true 6x6 vehicles, which means all six wheels are properly driven – if the owner ever fancies an off-road trip, it likely won’t pose any difficulties at all.
There has been no mention of the price, but the company typically asks for $375,000 or more for such conversions.
