Lancia to unveil its new concept car in a virtual 3D showroom
Lancia will launch an online showroom during the Metaverse Fashion Week on March 28, 2023, where it will put the current Ypsilon hatchback and a new concept car slated for offline premiere on April 15.
On the teasers shared thus far, the virtual prototype stays covered in virtual black wraps. There is no telling what individual design traits it may have, but the outlines resemble those of the Lancia Fulvia (see video). Interestingly enough, the previous teaser pic made us think it was more like the Stratos model. You can find that older teaser pic inside the virtual space, too: look for the picture on the wall.
The general expectation is that the car will build upon the Pu+Ra sculpture design shown before as Lancia tried to show us its new car design philosophy through a medium other than cars.
It is also worth pointing out that the showroom has the same design as the actual Lancia show space on Via Gattamelata, Milan, Italy. The Pu+Ra sculpture was first demonstrated to the public there. By the next year, Lancia intends to have its entire dealership network redesigned in this fashion and increase the number of such outlets in Europe to 70.
