Next-gen Mitsubishi L200 spied testing

Autoreview has published some spy shots of the next-generation Mitsubishi L200, alternatively known as the Triton or the Strada. Interestingly, this example had its steering wheel on the right-hand side despite having been spotted in Colorado Springs near the famous Pikes Peak hill climb track in the USA.

The pickup looks nearly production-ready – and it had better be, since Mitsubishi plans its launch for mid-2023. The current generation has been around since 2014 (see video).

Mitsubishi is handling all the development on its own, since the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance it is part of charges the brand with designing new body-on-frame vehicles. This also means that both the future Nissan Navara and the upcoming Renault Alaskan will run on the same technical platform and have the same frame as the L200. It is already official.

As for the spy shots, they reveal a boxier body shape and two-tier headlights, but little else of interest.
