Sony Afeela gets NACS certification
The Afeela EV co-designed between Sony and Honda is still a concept at this time, but the production car is slated for reveal in the first half of 2025.
In the meantime, the companies working on the project have announced making it compatible with Tesla’s NACS charging standard. The car will ship with a Supercharger-compatible port – both in the United States, where this standard is almost ubiquitous now, and in Japan, where it will be the first non-Tesla vehicle to use this charging interface.
The actual sales won’t begin until 2026, Sony warns.
