Aventador successor slated to debut on March 29

Lamborghini is officially ready to unveil the supercar provisionally called the LB744 on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

The upcoming successor to the flagship Aventador line will offer a special AWD driving mode implemented solely through a trio of electric motors, capping the power at just 180 PS (177 hp / 132 kW). But once you engage the Corsa mode, the 6.5-liter V12 will join in for a combined 1,000 PS (986 hp / 735 kW).

It is worth pointing out that the engine has been designed from scratch and has little in common with that of the Aventador. It is slightly lighter and comes mated to a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The battery pack only holds 3.8 kWh and goes from empty to full in six minutes if you use the main V12 for charging. Once ready, it can push its power to the wheels in all-electric mode, but you will not get more than 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) of range out of it.
