Chery launches the Jetour X95, a China-only large SUV

The car likely comes based on the Chery T1X chassis and tech, including the McPherson suspension struts in front and multi-link suspension in the back. The Jetour X 90 and the Chery Tiggo 7/8 use the same tech.

The most basic version comes powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 156 hp (116 kW) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque. The only available transmission is six-speed manual. A more expensive option packs a 1.6-liter unit good for 197 hp (147 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque, and comes with a 7-speed Getrag DCT. The drive stays on the front axle no matter what.

The SUV is 4,875 mm (15.99 ft.) long, 1,925 mm (6.32 ft.) wide and 1,780 mm (5.84 ft.) tall with 2,855 mm (9.37 ft.) separating the axles. The road clearance amounts to 210 millimeters (8.4 inches), and wheels are available in 18” and 20” sizes.

Inside, there is a 12.3” digital dashboard screen, an infotainment display of the same size, and a touch-sensitive climate control panel 9.7 inches across. As for the seat layouts, 5- and 7-seat versions are both available.

The standard equipment list includes LED headlights, roof railings, a fin-like radio antenna, a keyless entry system, and an engine start button. Paid options include front seats with ventilation and memory features, 360-degree cameras, leg-activated trunk opening, and many others.
