Car Tuning

Quadratisch, praktisch, gut: Yet another Suzuki Jimny dons a G-Class suit

When Suzuki worked on updating its Jimny bestseller, it could hardly expect tuners to shower it with countless styling options straight after the launch. Nonetheless, this is exactly what happened, and the kits that turned the miniature Japanese SUV into a Mercedes-Benz G-Class or Land Rover Defender replica proved particularly popular.

Below, you can see one of those kits, but not without a measure of individuality to it. Created by tuning company Fast Car Service Centre (FCSC), it is unique in that it strives to imitate not just any G-Wagon, but the fancy Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4².

The package includes new bumpers, a radiator grille, fender flares with built-in turn blinkers, a robust-looking black bull bar, a LED light rack, and much more. An off-road wheel/tire set and the tell-tale yellow/green livery of the W463 G-Class complete the impression.

Suzuki badges at both ends are the only things that still allow you to tell this Jimny from the G 500 4×4² on the photos. The tuner plays straight here, not attempting to conceal or replace the emblems.

Prompted to find one fault with this improvised G-Wagon, we’d say it’s the lack of the original twin-turbo V8 mill with its 422 hp (315 kW) at the crank.
