Porsche previews its next large battery SUV
During its annual press conference, Porsche has showed the outlines of a fully electric vehicle destined to become its next flagship SUV. Provisionally known as the K1, the car will sport an unusual appearance and go on sale marketed above the Cayenne (see video).
The cover conceals the details, but there is still no mistaking the Taycan-like front fenders and headlights, as well as roof humps.
Another photo reveals the position of the new model in the lineup (topmost) and gives a profile view of the SUV. It is much sportier-looking than the Cayenne, largely thanks to an unusual shape coming close to light passenger cars – think Panamera. Other details depicted on the sketch include c-pillars and slim taillights that carry over to the rear fenders.
It is assumed that the new SUV will run on a brand-new architecture shared with the next generation of the Taycan. USA and China will likely be the main markets, where the model will be positioned as the most expensive and deluxe Porsche in existence. The latter is no more than conjecture at this point, though.
