Watch a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo climb Jacob’s Ladder
The Jacob’s Ladder is a famous serpentine mountain road located in the Ben Lomond National Park within 60 kilometers from Launceston, northern Tasmania, Australia. Many of us would be eager to try ascending it in a beautiful and powerful car, but Mark Webber actually did it behind the wheel of a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.
The course is full of sharp turns, making the ascension a deed not for the faint-hearted. Nonetheless, as an ex-Formula driver and acclaimed FIA WEC champion, Webber managed just fine.
You may notice how the video lacks the trademark sound of a Porsche engine, and this is unsurprising since the Taycan is a silent electric car. Furthermore, this was the entire goal of the video: to demonstrate how the station wagon can protect the environment while staying true to the Porsche brand DNA.
