Ford unveils the next Expedition SUV lineup
The new Ford Expedition will not reach the showrooms until spring 2025, but preorders will open in late October.
The standard version is now 5,331 mm (208.3 inches) long with 3,111 mm (121.5 inches) between the axles. The stretched Max variant is 5,631 mm (220 inches) long with 3,340 mm (130.5 inches) of wheelbase.
Most configurations keep the standard 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 rated at 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) and 651 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque. The one exception is the Tremor spec, which enjoys a power bump to 446 PS (440 hp / 328 kW) and 692 Nm (510 lb-ft). Both work with a ten-speed automatic, but the Tremor additionally gets an electronic rear diff lock.
Aside from that, the rugged Expedition boasts its own styling accents, skid plates and a tweaked chassis. It also gets a couple of dedicated terrain driving modes. The ground clearance amounts to 270 mm (10.5 inches) thanks to special wheels wrapped in 33-inch tires. The non-Tremor models have 221 mm (8.6 inches) of clearance.
