Great Wall completes a factory in Brazil

Great Wall Motor Company has finished constructing an automobile factory in Brazil.

The company plans to hire 100 employees before the end of the year, then increase this number to 700 before the launch. Some equipment still needs adjusting and testing, but Haval believes it can begin producing its H6 SUV (see video) in the first half of 2025.

Once at full capacity, the complex is expected to churn out 50,000 cars per year. Haval reckons that in three years, the models it sells in South America will be 60% localized.
