Mystery Porsche spotted on a tow truck in LA airport

A never-before-seen Porsche car has been sighted in the airport of Los-Angeles recently, apparently bound for the Monterey Car Week starting in a few days. Carscoops was able to get an official comment, and if mystifies everything.

Apparently, the automaker replied that it didn’t plan any major premieres for the Monterey show and couldn’t identify the car in the photo. On the one hand, it could be true. On the other hand, it could be an attempt to keep a secret before the official reveal.

Assuming that Porsche wasn’t trying to mislead us, it could be a one-off vehicle commissioned by a V.I.P. customer. It is visibly similar to the legendary Porsche 911 (993) GT1 Strassenversion that you can find in the attached video here, but not identical. It doesn’t look like a replica, either.

All the more reasons to wait for the Monterey event to start, wouldn’t you say?
